His company, Spectrum Confections, sells CBD jelly beans in bulk
Marijuana edible enthusiasts rejoice: the creator of the Jelly Belly jelly bean has launched a line of sweets infused with the cannabis-derived compound cannabidiol.
Candy inventor David Klein has concocted CBD-infused jelly beans in 38 flavors ranging from toasted marshmallow to piña colada. Each bean contains 10 mg of CBD and can be ordered online.
Since creating Jelly Belly jelly beans in 1976, Cannabis Aficionado reported Klein has continued to make candy despite selling the iconic brand in 1980. Klein told the publication he looked into CBD jelly beans after learning about its perceived benefits, finding a gap in a market that includes cannabis-infused gummies and chocolate.
His company, Spectrum Confections, sells CBD jelly beans in bulk. They come in three varieties: original, sugar-free and sour. Other flavors include cinnamon, spicy licorice, strawberry cheesecake and mango.
