The Cannabis Control Commission and technology company Franwell will co-host two workshops in Worcester on Wednesday to educate the public about Metrc, a required seed-to-sale tracking system required for adult-use, or recreational, marijuana.

The workshops will start at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. at Worcester State University, 486 Chandler St., in the Eager Auditorium in the Sullivan Academic Center.

Workshops will also be held at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Tuesday at the John W. McCormack Building, 1 Ashburton Place, 21st floor, Conference Rooms 1 and 2 in Boston; and on Thursday at the Springfield State Office Building, 436 Dwight St., Boston, in Room B42.

Metrc is used in 10 states and Washington, D.C. and is a requirement of licensure in Massachusetts, according to a news release from the Cannabis Control Commission.
