MedMen also made a massive purchase in Florida by buying Treadwell, which operates as “Remeny Wellness”, for $53 million in stock and cash and is set to begin cultivation in the sunshine state as they are one of the 13 licensed facilities to do so. Elizabeth Warren and Cory Gardner also pushed forward will a bill in Congress that would effectively leave cannabis enforcement fully up to the states. President Trump has signaled he supports the legislation. A Florida judge also lifted a stay on smokable cannabis for medical patients within the state which was seen as a welcome move forward.
